Kendall Auto Group is one of the largest family owned and operated dealers in the Pacific Northwest and premier employer in the Treasure Valley. We are looking for a Bank Reconciliation/Accounting Specialist to join the Accounting team. 

The Bank Reconciliation/Accounting Specialist will be responsible for completing daily and monthly reconciliations for multi-store bank accounts to the general ledger, researching and resolving any cash discrepancies. Daily cash activity will be sent out by the Specialist to store personnel for g/l booking and investigating. The position will work closely with the Corporate Assistant Controller and Regional Controllers to ensure the timely and accurate posting of cash transactions.

 Essential Job Responsibilities

• Perform daily cash reconciliation for shared bank account and other accounts.
• Download reports, sort/organize and email accounting personnel for proper posting into general ledger.
• Investigate discrepancies and work with others to determine proper accounting.
• Monitor positive pay exceptions and coordinate review and approval.
• Work collaboratively with others internally and externally to achieve goals, simplify processes, prevent loss, and ensure work is performed timely and accurately.
• Perform other accounting functions as directed.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or business preferred.
• Working knowledge of accounting reconciliation processes and cash management functions
• Ability to retrieve, analyze, validate, organize and report data electronically.
• Proficient knowledge of Windows-based business computers and Microsoft Office programs Excel and Outlook.
• Proficient ability to work collaboratively with others. 

Working conditions are primarily indoors spending up to full work shift working on PC, standing and/or walking for short distances throughout work shift, and frequent use of telephone. The required schedule is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
