The job of Driving Supervisor is to provide support within Kemper Shuttle Services withspecific responsibilities for supervising and directing all drivers: providing classroominstruction and behind the wheel training of applicants and drivers.: addressing allregulations and safety procedures, identifying training requirements and maintainingrequired documentations for audits in compliance with certification andDistrict/State/Federal requirements.
Functions
. Provide classroom and behind the-wheel trainings
.Evaluates performance of drives and driver applicants for the purpose of ensuring
that basic skill levels are met and are in compliance with state certification and
requirements.
. Informs drivers and applicants (e.g. rules, regulations, laws, procedures, ect) for
the purpose of providing information, requesting follow-up action and/
implementing procedures.
. Investigates accidents involving fleet and drivers, for the purpose of improving
procedures and complying with established guidelines and insurance purposes will
file insurance claims when necessary.
. Maintains manual and electronic documents, files and records for the purpose of
providing an up-to-date reference and audit trail.
. Helps manage drug testing program to ensure drug free and safe drivers.
. Oversees driver licensing training requirements and certificate status to ensure
compliance with regulatory requirements.
. Participates in meetings, in-service training, workshops
others, communicating and working with persons of diverse
backgrounds/knowledge/skills; working with frequent interruptions; confidentiality;
decision making, and prioritization.
RESPONSIBILITY
Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision using standardized practices
and methods; directing other persons within a small work unit; and operating within a
defined budget. Utilization of resources from other work units may be required to perform
the jobs functions.

Skills, knowledge and Abilities
Skills are required to perform multiple task with a need to occasionally upgrade skills to
meet changing job conditions. Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactory
perform the functions of the job include: setting priorities, operating standard office
equipment, using pertinent software applications, operating heavy and light duty vehicles
and preparing and maintain accurate records.
ABILITY is required to schedule a number of activities, meetings, and events, gather,
collate and classify data; and consider a variety of factors when using equipment.
Flexibility is required to work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; analyze data
utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using a variety of
standardized methods. Ability is also required to work with diversity of individuals and
groups; work with similar types of data, and utilize a variety job-related equipment.
Problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans. Problem solving
data requires independent interpretation of guidelines and problem solving with
equipment is moderate. Specific ability-based competencies required to satisfactorily
perform the functions of the job include: adapting to changing work priorities, motivating
others, communicating and working with persons of diverse
backgrounds/knowledge/skills; working with frequent interruptions; confidentiality;
decision making, and prioritization.
