Overview

Kemin is hiring a Marketing communications Project Manager in our Des Moines, IA location. The purpose of this position is to apply professional project management skills to implement projects that support the marketing and business needs of Kemin. The core responsibility of this position will be to manage multiple projects across all animal nutrition and health species teams and ensure execution on time and in line with business needs. The Marketing Communications Project Manager helps guide and execute a wide array of marketing projects – both internal and external – in coordination with the broader marketing team and under the direction of a Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Act as overall project coordinator, managing project scope, deliverables, budget, goals, roles, responsibilities, and deliverables as directed in conjunction with agency partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with marketing team members and other stakeholders.
  • Work with marketing team members to help develop internal and external materials and communications which increase marketing effectiveness and help build and create brand awareness, including, but not limited to, press releases, website content, employee communications, sales and marketing collateral, tradeshow materials, presentations, trade publication articles and more.
  • Responsible for reporting project activity progress and status in a timely manner. This includes ongoing status meetings with Marketing Managers and the preparation of marketing activity reports as directed for various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Report and work with a variety of metrics and help track ROI on various department-related tactics, including customer-facing events and advertising.
  • Manage and guide project execution of change managements and initiatives related to continuous improvement.
    • Research and identify new marketing-related technologies and strategies which drive future initiatives and make knowledge recommendations to the team.
  • Guide projects through internal processes such as permission to publish, WWIPRA contracts portal, etc. as needed.
  • Work with marketing managers and marketing operations, organize competitive information and maintain key databases.
  • Collaborate with a diverse staff team to create and implement cross-organizational, integrated marketing strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with an emphasis in Project Management or Marketing (specific background is dependent upon position focus) with 3-5 years of project management experience;
  • PMP Certification or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Associates Degree with 5-7 years of experience;
    • Europe - National degree with 3-5 years of experience;
    • Asia - Associate Degree with 3-5 years of experience;
    • Brazil – University degree with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Additional related experience may substitute.
