Kemin Nutrisurance(“KN”) is the petfood ingredients and rendering business unit of Kemin Industries, Inc.. KN Asia Pacific mainly operates in Australia, New Zealand, China, India, Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea, Japan and also has presence in other countries in Asia.

This role is responsible to manage the Kemin Applications Solutions (KAS) Workshop, customer installations, commissioning, & service and to lead local engineering team members (as applicable). This position is responsible for turn-key projects to ensure all KAS projects are executed on schedule and within budget. The incumbent is also responsible to ensure Kemin has the most optimum solutions offering in terms of pricing and reliability of our KAS systems. He/she will ensure all KAS equipment are maintained within the stipulated service interval as per agreed schedules and commitments. This role will develop and implement continuous improvement processes and systems in engineering technology to strengthen Kemin’s competitive position in this business segment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for applicator development, fabrication, and modifications in coordination with KAS workshops present across different regions (ANZ, Singapore, China, India) and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and in full.
  • Planning and forecasting of applicators for existing and new business in collaboration with Country sales teams
  • Customer centricity – provide ongoing service and support for existing customers and installation and commissioning for new customers and/or applications.
  • Provide strong and reliable technical support for country sales team.
  • Serve as local technology and applications expert, providing education and training for customers.
  • Oversee the preparation of Application Equipment Proposals, Equipment Sales Contracts, Equipment component purchases, Customer Operating/Maintenance Manuals and Applicator service.
  • Scheduling and monitoring the maintenance and service of current applicator inventory and furnish monthly reports to all country stakeholders.
  • Ensure application utilization rate (AUR) targets are achieved with existing customers.
  • Provide daily management, direction and development of local engineering team members.
  • Drive engineering innovation to differentiate Kemin applicators in performance, cost, and quality.
  • Responsible for managing KAS inventory target in alignment with company targets.
  • Team player, being able to collaborate with regional sales personnel, research personnel, marketing personnel and other support functions.
  • Prepare training and educational workshops for local team.

Qualifications

  • An Engineering degree or related discipline, preferably from electrical/electronic background.
  • An experienced people manager with strong servant leadership characteristics.
  • More than 10 years’ experience in fabrication, pumps, sensors, liquid dosing equipment, multi liquid application and microwave sensor technology.
  • A good understanding of Animal feed/ Food milling especially Aqua and Petfood industry would be advantageous.
  • A strong project leader, able to set priorities, and meet timelines leading to the attainment of goals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
  • Good communication, project management, problem solving and team building skill required
  • A high degree of personal motivation, a desire to make an immediate contribution and a distinct sense of urgency.
  • Cross cultural customer facing working experience across Asia Pacific region would be advantageous.
  • Willing to travel – 30%
