The Instructional Designer is responsible for the design, development, and evaluation of engaging and effective instructional materials and programs. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts, assessing learning needs, and applying instructional design principles to create impactful learning experiences across various modalities.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify and analyze training needs
- Design and develop instructional materials and courses, incorporating adult learning principles
- Utilize multimedia technology and authoring tools to create engaging learning activities
- Evaluate the effectiveness of instructional programs and make improvements as necessary
- Manage the development process from needs analysis through delivery
- Ensure instructional programs are aligned with organizational goals and compliance standards
- Stay abreast of the latest trends in instructional design and technology
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with an in-depth knowledge of training methodologies, adult learning principles, and educational technology
- Ability to design and implement training and development programs
- Ability to function within a fast-paced, high-growth work environment
- Ability to creatively solve problems, innovate, and analyze program effectiveness
- Effective project management, communication, and collaborative skills
- Skills in multimedia production for interactive learning experiences
- Strong grasp of instructional design frameworks for crafting effective learning experiences
- Ability to work flexible hours. We operate 24/7/365
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, educational technology, or a related field; master's degree is a plus
- 2 years of experience in instructional design or educational content development
- Familiarity with graphic design, video editing, and multimedia production is a plus
- Spanish bilingual preferred
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and online education platforms
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)
- Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check and a background check after accepting a conditional offer of employment
