Global Security Analyst

Kelly Outsourcing & Consulting Group (KellyOCG), a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a *Global Security Analyst* for a long-term engagement at one of our global clients in *Midland, MI. *This role is a full-time, fully benefitted position. The 24/7/365 Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) is a corporate wide, strategic watch-and-warn and intelligence analysis mechanism designed to assist our client’s leaders with their decision-making processes. The Center is responsible for identifying and providing information related to primarily physical events that might impact the client or its personnel, including but not limited to severe weather, civil unrest, and man-made disasters. The Global Security Analyst will monitor and analyze global situations to determine potential impacts and opportunities for the business. The successful analyst will think globally to understand trigger criteria, what is important to the corporation, and when potential impacts may occur, and then work both quickly and accurately to provide information and insight to the key client stakeholders.

As a *Global Security Analyst* placed with KellyOCG you will be responsible for the following:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Monitor global events in real time as well as subscription information streams to identify risks and potential opportunities.

• Triage, report, and escalate to appropriate client personnel various security or emergency-related incidents with potential or actual impact to client operations.

• Prepare, review, and send intelligence memos, news summaries, and assessments related to current events or client-specific incidents and interests.

• Facilitate and participate in the client’s crisis management processes and communications.

• Contribute to client’s efforts to further build its watch-and-warn and intelligence and protection programs by participating in post-event reviews and providing input on the development of additional procedures and policies.

Requirements:

  • BA or BS in International Studies, International Security, World History, Political Science, Journalism, Security Studies, Intelligence Studies, or related discipline; or equivalent work experience in security or intelligence analysis; includes similar military experience

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill key points from a large body of information, and then analyze, summarize, and present material clearly

• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills

• Familiarity and interest in current international events

• Willingness to learn to use a variety of software suites

• Comfortable working both independently and as part of team

• Proficient with MS Office

Preferred qualifications:

• Professional research or open-source intelligence experience

• Exposure to principles of risk analysis and management

• Familiarity with the intelligence cycle and best practices

• Experience with Boolean logic and using advanced internet research techniques

• Foreign travel experience and foreign language ability

• Experience with ArcGIS software

• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or PowerBI

The analyst role is a rotational shift position, which means some afternoon, night, and weekend shifts will ultimately be required.
