Responsibilities:

•The I/E Planner will be experienced in instrument and electrical maintenance and have the necessary skills and knowledge to create a job package from a work order scope

•Reviews work orders for technical completeness and returns work orders to gatekeeper if not complete

•Uses, where possible, an archived plan for basis of actual plan

•Uses quality feedback from the I/E Work Activity Coordinator or Technicians to validate the work scope and to optimize the department’s workload

•Prepare job package and input plan into SAP indicating the required resources, materials, and services

•When materials availability has been confirmed, store job in active backlog

•Identify operational steps necessary to execute job plan

•Identify and order materials/tools/equipment required to perform tasks

•Record tasks/information within the work notifications

•Notify other crafts of their requirement to provide input to job plan verbal or written communication

• Archive repetitive job plans

• Consider constructability and maintainability when developing plans

•Consider material costs when selecting materials from specifications

•Utilizes the Most Effective Technology where applicable

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or equivalent

• 3-4 years of relevant experience in planning and scheduling I/E work

• Extensive knowledge of electrical motors and fixed gas detectors

• Chemical/Petrochemical Industry planning

• Must be a self-starter

• Planner backlog management experience

• Thorough understanding of refrigeration technologies

• Knowledgeable in SAP planning jobs, ordering materials and scheduling equipment

• Knowledgeable in Primavera

• Windows based applications Outlook, Word, Excel, etc
