Roles and Responsibilities:

• Prepares and maintains facilitator materials, session plans, visual aids and handouts for training sessions
• Conducts technical training for employees upon hire and on periodical schedule
• Coordinates with supervisors and employees to ensure that required field training is implemented
• Coordinates with the Training Manager to design training materials and courses
• Evaluates and modifies existing training solutions, techniques, and materials
• Communicates and represents the organization to clients, the public, government, and other external sources
• Conducts knowledge and performance post training field evaluations
• Maintains up to date knowledge of best practices, standards, guidelines, technology, and equipment

Success Factors:

• Ability to understand and follow specific oral and written instructions
• Experience in the utility industry is preferred
• Ability to work well independently and as a part of a team with co-workers
• Ability to pass motor vehicle, criminal background check, and comply with drug-free workplace policy
• English usage sufficient to keep records, place orders, and prepare simple narrative reports
• Willingness and ability to learn additional skills

Experience and Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent desired
• Class A CDL Preferred
• Two (2 ) plus years’ experience operating heavy equipment is required
• Two (2 ) plus years’ experience as a Technical Trainer is preferred
• Experience working with underground utilities desired
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-to-year basis

Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:

• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License is required within two weeks of employment.
• Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
