Kelley Create seeks a Delivery Driver who will perform manual lifting and driving work. The Delivery Driver reports to the Field Service Manager and is part of the team that provides delivery and pickup services to our clients.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Drive assigned routes, delivering the company’s products in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
- Unload, load, check in, and service products to meet customers’ needs and expectations.
- Provide excellent customer service to all assigned accounts.
- Develop and maintain positive, cooperative, and team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and others you interact with in your job.
- Adhere to and follow all company policies, procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned.
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with those of the Company’s core values at all times.
- Keep truck clean inside and out
- Safely drive the truck at all times
- Report maintenance problems to the facilities manager or supervisor.
- Keep in close contact with the Warehouse Manager, ensuring the manager knows the location at all times.
- Follows all safety and security regulations and precautions.
- Uses equipment and materials in a safe manner.
- Help with maintenance of truck and equipment (greasing small repairs, etc.).
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately and timely.
- Maintains excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Help in the Warehouse, Shop, and will assist in other areas as needed.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/ExperienceHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent skill level. A minimum of six (6) months of previous driving experience and knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations is required.
Certificates And LicensesValid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Must be able to provide proof of insurance.
Language SkillsRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; effectively present information in one-on-one situations and small group situations to customers, vendors, and other employees.
Reasoning AbilityApply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to identify problems and escalate them.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands and work environment described below represent the activities and surroundings of the positions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
The work is typically performed indoors (e.g. warehouse, shop, and office environments) and outdoors.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- The employee must constantly reach with hands, fingers, legs, and feet to drive.
- Incumbent must be able to grasp with hands and use power/manual pallet jack.
- Will be required to bend, stoop, crouch, squat, and use arms, wrists, and hands to properly lift 50 pounds or less on a frequent basis. Will carry and lift 70 pounds or less occasionally. Must be able to lift equipment from the floor to overhead.
- Able to move 50 pounds or less frequently, 100 pounds or less occasionally.
- Able to push/pull 50 pounds repetitively and up to 175 pounds, with moderate effort frequently. Maximum effort occasionally.
- Able to stand and remain on feet for up to 6 hours per day; 2 hours continuously.
- Able to see objects closely, discriminate colors, and perceive depth continuously.
- Able to drive company van or delivery truck for pick-up and delivery of supplies or parts to/from our customers.
- Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, and oils.
- Employee must be able to work in close contact with small and large groups.
- Frequent hearing and talking on a regular basis is required.
