Kele Companies is Hiring a Lead BAS Application Engineer Near Weymouth, MA
Control Consultants (A Kele Company), a nationwide distributor of commercial/industrial HVAC controls, burner/boiler controls and building automation systems, is in search of an experienced Lead BAS Application Engineer who will serve as the technical resource to the engineering and sales teams responsible for providing customers with the services and materials required to successfully implement cost-effective engineered solutions. The Lead Applicatino Engineer works with the engineering team to manage the design and development of project-specific automatic temperature control solutions, helping to identify the specific needs of each project and each customer to develop a comprehensive and cost-effective solution. Performs field start-ups and provides customers with technical support for various systems.

Essential Responsibilities
Provide technical support for gas detection systems, variable frequency drives, configurable controllers and thermostats, and non DDC controllers via phone and email
Assign projects to engineering team and work with them throughout the design to ensure accuracy and timely completion of drawings
Execute customer support program tasks
Test and verify system readings, ensuring optimal system operation
Perform system checkout and assist in automation system startups
Work with other service providers/vendors to arrange service and resolve problems
Complete and submit service orders and reports covering all aspects of each assignment and activity and other necessary information on a daily and/or weekly basis
Review final bill of materials to ensure they match AutoCAD drawings
Perform final point-to-point review and red line corrections and return to application engineer to make corrections
Request equipment data sheets from customer on all equipment we propose to control
Send out completed control submittal package to the customer
Work with panel shop on panel design and motor starters and review completed panels to ensure they meet quality standards
Work with manufacturers on new products and disseminate to team for implementation
Serve as a technical resource for the sales department, ensuring understanding of projects and products and assisting them with product selection
Perform field start-ups and provide on-site technical support to customers
Continuously work to improve all aspects of the engineered solution
Preferred Qualifications
Undergraduate/bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
Advanced commercial HVAC mechanical background and systems knowledge
Industry experience in multi-vendor DDC control products and communication protocols
Advanced knowledge of IT network principles for DDC systems
Advanced in Microsoft Office and the ability use job-specific software/hardware/programs
Niagara AX and/or N4 certification
CIPer and VFD certification
UP508A certification
JCI, Honeywell, and Schneider BMS experience
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for limited travel as needed
