Job Description

Kearney & Co. is actively seeking an experienced Microsoft PowerApps Developer with data pipelining and data related application development to join our team. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in collaborating with our agency project teams and Federal government clients, providing specialized technical expertise and support related to data solutions and Microsoft PowerApps. This includes leveraging Azure services to design, develop, and implement scalable and secure solutions, in accordance with guidelines set forth by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Government Accountability Office (GAO), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and Treasury. The role demands a strong understanding of the Microsoft Power Platform, encompassing PowerApps development, integration with other Microsoft services like Azure, SharePoint, and Office 365, and delivering custom solutions that cater to client requirements. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and client engagement capabilities. In addition, they need the ability to stay organized across multiple tasks and workstreams, self-motivate, maintain a high level of quality, and have a strong desire to succeed. This position includes but is not limited to the following duties:

  • Interface with clients on a day-to-day basis and lead discussions/briefings with client representatives, demonstrating excellent listening and presentation skills.
  • Develop high quality, visually impressive work products using the Microsoft Office suite of applications, demonstrating excellent design and writing skills, that adhere to applicable regulations and customer requirements.
  • Exhibit excellent self-review skills, deliver work products free of significant technical or editorial defect, and manage project timelines independently.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and creativity in response to client needs and requests.
  • Demonstrate technical competency, knowledge, and professional care commensurate with completion of assignments, and an eagerness to learn and absorb new technical and industry-specific information.
  • Develop secure, scalable, and efficient data solutions that integrate seamlessly with Microsoft PowerApps, SharePoint, and other Microsoft services.
  • Engage in all phases of the project lifecycle, from discovery and planning to implementation and support, ensuring solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Help design the system architecture process to create, define specifications for, and implement customizations for any custom code or data migration.
  • Conduct end-user training and create and maintain knowledge transfer documentation.
  • Develop and continue to refine app development standards and tools.
  • Present tailored demonstrations of the technology solution.
  • Take leadership over high quality, bug-free development as per the coding standards in close collaboration and interaction with other members of the development/QA team.
  • Help create design documentation for new solutions and functions.
  • Work with the support team to resolve production support issues.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree or higher from an accredited college/university in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.Minimum of four years' experience in developing and implementing solutions focused on end to end data pipelining and data related applications.
  • Strong technical proficiency with PowerApps and Power Automate, including experience with Dataflows.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 development capabilities.
  • Functional and Technical knowledge of: cloud architecture principles, security best practices, and compliance requirements relevant to federal government projects.
  • Experience in programming languages and frameworks such as .NET, Python, and familiarity with RESTful services and APIs.
  • Experience working in Agile environment.
  • Currently hold or be able to obtain a security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Excellent skills/training with Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two or more years of Federal consulting experience.
  • Prior consulting experience within the Federal government, especially in financial management.
  • Certifications within the platform: Azure Solutions Architect, Power Platform Developer Associate, or other relevant Azure or Microsoft certifications.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence (Tableau/Power BI).
  • Strong technical proficiency with Azure cloud services and PowerApps, including experience with Azure pipeline development.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Azure cloud services, including but not limited to Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Active Directory, to develop and implement solutions that leverage these technologies.

This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
