KDC CONSTRUCTION is Hiring a Construction Bid Coordinator Near Orange, CA

The Bid Coordinator is responsible for administrative support to Construction Management. As required, this position is focused on the bid process life cycle from the initial inquiry, tracking and managing progress, and presenting final bids to customers.

Essential Job Functions

  • Prepares all reporting, including the Bid Analysis Report.
  • Review bid submission content to ensure all bids are correctly formatted, fully compliant with the requirements, and submitted timely.
  • Manages bid information by compiling received bids and maintaining the BidMail database to ensure all information accurately reflects the opportunity status.
  • Tracks the estimating team's current and future construction bid dates.
  • Understands and identifies subcontractors that bid specific project types and ensure they are being solicited.
  • Develops and maintains subcontractor relationships.
  • Coordinates with subcontractors to qualify and verify proposals and follow up on additional information.
  • Coordinates duplication and distribution of construction plans.
  • Assists with building bid binders, scanning, and data entry.
  • Responsible for working safely, both for self-protection and protection of co-workers, by supporting all Company safety efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Experience with high volume of calls
  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple bids while meeting deadlines.
  • 2 - 5 years experience with bid management experience or equivalent preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of bid coordination and preparation preferred.
  • Experience collaborating and organizing on BidMail or a similar platform, preferred.
  • Able to deliver a positive experience to customers and subcontractors.
  • Motivated team player with a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with computers and familiar with Microsoft Software Suite. Experience with Bluebeam and BidMail is preferred.
  • Able to identify a need, remove barriers, and have the know-how to make things happen.
  • Values diversity of ideas, opinions, and people. Has good common sense and applied logic.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain an appropriate state driver’s license before employment, along with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
