KCW Engineering Technologies, Inc. is recruiting for a Survey Technician with 5 years' experience. The Survey Technician will work in conjunction with a Professional Land Surveyor to perform a wide variety of survey related tasks, including preparation of topographic, special purpose, ALTA/NSPS, and other surveys, as well as preparing construction stake-outs, using Civil 3D to prepare drawings and maps from field data collected by field technicians.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with team and supervisor about workload and needs
  • Construction stakeout computations for field crews using construction plan sets
  • Prepare and check cutsheets for construction stakeout work
  • Records research to prepare deed mosaics for boundary/ALTA jobs
  • Process and interpret survey data collected in the field
  • Maintain and organize digital and paper survey records
  • Collaborate with planners, project managers and engineers regarding projects
  • Communicate daily with field crews to provide direction and support for ongoing projects
  • Perform QC/QA on different types of survey deliverables

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of survey experience
  • MD driver’s license
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • Must be able to read cursive

Preferred Experience and Certifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in a Survey Related Field and/or formal CAD training
  • Certified Survey Technician Level I, II, or III
  • Minimum of 5 years of survey related AutoCAD or Civil3D/Carlson experience

Education:

  • High school diploma
