Job Summary
The Coordinator of the BSCTC’s Rural Postsecondary Economic Development grant project ensures that the activities of the grant are implemented with fidelity by confirming that the design of activities aligns with the outcomes sought by the project.
In collaboration with the Director of Advising, the Coordinator facilitates identifying and adopting best practices for guided pathways in advising and career development of students and transition services for students enrolled in dual credit programs and has primary responsibility for documenting the adoption of guided pathways practices in advising and career development of students from dual credit engagement through matriculation and graduation.
This position will lead the writing of reports to internal and external stakeholders of the grant as well as oversight of the grant budget expenditures.
Job Duties :
Track Facilitate and monitor the implementation of CARES Center grant activities,
establishing and monitoring workflow processes and activities; oversee grant goals,
objectives, metrics, outcomes, reporting and timelines in collaboration with the Director of
Advising, Dean of Student Services, Provost and other departments. Develop and monitor
records, and submit reports including monthly time and efforts, and interim and annual
progress reports compliant with EDGAR and Circular A-21.
Marshal information from various sources to conduct summative and formative evaluation in
the progress of fulfillment of grant annual objectives and 5-year benchmarks.
Collaboratively with the Director of Advising, codify a case-managed approach to success
coaching at BSCTC that includes transition and tracking of students from enrollment to
employment; codify meta-major road maps, processes to pair students with success
coaches associated with specific meta majors, a process to identify gaps; strategies to
address gaps; and collaborative structure and strategies to transition students enrolled in
dual credit programs. Identify student cohorts, data needs and tracking mechanisms for
each strategy.
Collaborate with employers, industry partners, and community organizations to provide
students with internship, job placement, and career development opportunities. Develop
and administer a student-centered employment services program, utilizing platforms like
Handshake®, community resources, and job fairs to connect students with high-skill, high-
wage job opportunities in regional industry sectors.
Support professional development of team members and work with Student Services Team to in the development of implementation activities for the grant with the CARES Center
learning and advising communities (cohorts) for each of the 7 career pathways.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelors in Education, Social Services, Counseling or related field and 3 years related experience or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications :
Masters in Adult and Higher Education, or related field, preferable
