Job Summary

Elizabethtown Community & Technical College is seeking a Studio Art Instructor to provide quality instruction to students. ECTC’s Studio Art Instructor will instruct the equivalent of 15 credit hours per semester, including a mix of studio courses and General Education Art courses, and be responsible for student guidance-advising activities, internal and institutional service, external and community service, professional development activities, and educational leadership. The assignment may include some online, evening, weekend, and/or off-campus courses. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to teaching, working with a diverse population, and the community and technical college mission. The assignment period is full-time 10 months (August-May)

Job Duties:

• Excellent drawing skills and aptitude for teaching drawing.
• Strong skills in 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional design.
• Commitment to quality instruction, student learning, and instructional and institutional effectiveness.
• Effective technology skills, communication skills (written and verbal), and organizational and human relations skills.
• Ability to work effectively on a team
• Strong communications/relationship-building skills
• Experience with teaching, online education, Blackboard, and other instructional education, preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Master of Fine Arts degree or Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in studio courses.
