Salary Range: $22,404.00 - $30,792.00

Contract Term Length: 12 Months

Standard Hours: 37.5

Job Summary

Big Sandy Community & Technical College is seeking a Maintenance Worker to
perform daily cleaning of buildings, building maintenance tasks, upkeep of buildings, grounds-keeping, room setups for events, and maintaining a clean and pleasant atmosphere for students, faculty and staff.

Job Duties:

  • Performs daily cleaning of classrooms, hallways, and offices such as; dusting, taking out trash, cleaning windows, vacuuming, and keeping the soap and paper towel dispensers full.
  • Performs daily cleaning and maintenance of restrooms.
  • Performs minor repairs and assists with major repairs.
  • Performs dry walling, painting, installing ceiling tiles, minor plumbing, and assemble and deliver furniture, and setup rooms for special events.
  • Maintains grounds by mowing, weed-eating, picking up trash, and snow removal.
  • Performs floor maintenance such as; shampooing carpet, sweeping, moping, stripping floors, waxing, and buffing.
  • Other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED and 1 year related work experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED and 2 years related work experience.
