KCI Construction is Hiring a Vice President of Field Operations Near Springfield, MO

Purpose: The Vice President of Operations will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee all operations activities for the KCI Springfield office, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of KCI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads the Springfield office by supporting, implementing, and communicating the strategic direction of KCI, including that of preconstruction, estimating, and operations.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.
  • Carries out the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing and development are in line with the organization's business plan and vision.
  • Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
  • Reviews and approves cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects.
  • Determines and manages the department's budget.
  • Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to executive leadership.
  • Maintains knowledge of emerging trends in operations management and the field of construction.
  • Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or related required
  • 15 years of industry related experience
  • General contracting and DOT experience preferred
  • Previous preconstruction work is a plus
  • Leadership and coaching experience required
  • Previous work with business development preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Extensive knowledge of industry best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Physical Demands:

  • Work is normally performed in a typical office environment.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Limited exposure to physical risk.
  • Noise level in the office environment is usually quiet.
  • While performing the duties of this role, employee will be required to sit, talk, and hear.
  • Employee is occasionally required stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop or kneel.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus.
