Title:Engineering Technician V
KBR is seeking a
Senior Engineer Technician to function as a member of the Area Control Systems onsite technical support team in Jacksonville, FL.
Note: This is an SCA position. Position Description:- Troubleshoots field equipment failures for ACS equipment.
- Documentation of maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
- Responsible for performance of preventative maintenance and troubleshooting or assessment of ACS equipment.
- Responsible for test and evaluation, training installation, and logistic support for ACS branch and other designated systems, subsystems, and components associated with air traffic control and airspace management systems.
Basic QualificationsClearance: Secret OR able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
Education Experience Requirements/Substitution Options BelowEducation: AS or AA in electronics or engineering Technology.
Experience: - At least fourteen (14) years of practical experience in electronics or engineering technology.
- Eight (8) years of experience, to include: installation of such equipment.
- Four (4) years of experience, to include: design, preparation and modification of engineering documents, and drawings.
- Eight (8) years of experience in automated ATC surveillance systems with one (1) year of specific FACSFAC/IRSS experience preferred, of which five (5) must have been performed within the last seven (7) years
- Familiarity with Navy FACTS, Navy NAVSKED, STARS, or the Marine Corp IRSS platforms.
- A certification must be obtained within six months of employment.
- Microsoft Office products proficiency.
- Experience may be concurrent.
Education: A high school diploma
Experience: - At least fourteen (14) years of practical experience in electronics or engineering technology.

- Ten (10) years of experience in automated ATC surveillance systems with one (1) year of specific FACSFAC/IRSS experience preferred, of which five (5) must have been performed within the last seven (7) years.
