Koontz Bryant Johnson Williams (KBJW) is seeking a Survey Party Chief to join our dynamic growing team in our Chesapeake, Virginia office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand, operate, and maintain the various types of instruments and equipment
  • Manage and responsible for crew members.
  • Assist with training crew members
  • Assist with resolution of technical and administrative problems.
  • Work closely with Supervisor to complete projects within assigned schedules.
  • Adhere to company safety polices and use of supplied personal protective equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
  • Ability to accurate prepare daily field notes for timely completion of projects.
  • Travel to project sites and other branch offices
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.   • High School diploma.
  • 5 years as an Instrument Operator
  • Ability to work occasional weekends as projects demand.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • A flexible working style with an ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
