Laborer

 [Job Site Location: Bard College, Annadale-on-Hudson, NY]

***MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL TO THIS JOBSITE DAILY***

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Actual work duties vary widely and change as construction advances.
• A worker may be called upon to prepare a site using a shovel or trowel, move materials in a wheelbarrow, hand truck or forklift, or prepare concrete by hand in a bucket or mixing tray.
• Work can be performed through a spectrum of hands and knees to stooped or crouching to standing, standing and working from a ladder, scaffolding, equipment, atop a roof or about given rough construction.
• Work can be both confined or readily accessible in terms of space constraints. Work can be intermittent or sustained for long durations. Workers are expected to perform to the extent of their logical physical ability, but can also utilize light and heavy equipment to obtain and present given materials, or to dispose of construction debris.
• Examples of labor duties consist of assisting with layout, working with concrete, painting, caulking, grinding, cutting, fabricating, monitoring, demolition, maintaining site cleanliness, removal of debris, operation of light and heavy equipment, etc. 
• This worker typically works alone without supervision and is expected to both carry out directed tasks and to also work independently sustaining productivity by performing routine duties and tasks with and without guidance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, & Qualifications:

• 1 years of a variety of general construction-related experience
• OSHA 10 certification is required.
• Knowledge of Basic Construction Terms
• Work Independently
• Work at a Productive/Steady Pace
• Provide Own Transportation
• Consistently Demonstrate Workplace Dependability & Timeliness
• Complete Work in a Satisfactory, Timely & Quality Manner
• Utilize Intellectual & Physical Aptitudes, Skills, and Functional Abilities
• Understand & Adhere to Logical Safety Protocols
• Communicate Effectively Both Verbally & In Writing
