The Engine Division of Kawasaki Motors Corp, headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI has an immediate opening for a Test Technician.

A Test Technician provides support to the engineering staff with assembling and conducting tests to evaluate current and future products under the guidance of management, engineers and departmental processes and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the best way a test can be performed in order to achieve 100% test coverage of all components using different test processes.
• Set up and perform tests to ensure quality and durability of material and component parts.
• Determine lead times for new equipment installation and verification.
• With limited supervision, able to debug and isolate problems, gather information to provide feedback. 
• Provide hands on troubleshooting and upgrade support for existing production testing in a real time environment.
• Research, collect data and/or make mathematical calculations to recommend or make design changes to engine or component parts.
• Generate test reports from data collected during testing.
• Ability to disassemble and assembled engines with precision and attention to detail.
• With some oversight, ability to fabricate rigging for use in testing.
• Able to communicate relevant information between and across departments.

Education and Experience:

• 3 years related experience in hands on testing procedures.
• Moderate experience with machinery, tools and manufacturing equipment.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, Associates degree in Engine Mechanics preferred.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude; be self-motivated and able to work as part of a team.
