The Barista position will contribute to the overall success of the Alaska Rainforest Sanctuary Cafe, by embracing the culture valued by ARS. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, while providing quality beverages and products, and consistently maintaining a clean, engaging environment. As a Barista at the Alaska Rainforest Sanctuary, you are responsible for learning and executing Barista skills in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm, and friendly demeanor. This position requires an upbeat attitude and outgoing personality, have good customer service skills, and be comfortable cross training as a Retail Sales Clerk in the gift shop.
Summary of essential job functions
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Meet coffee shop operating policies and standards, learn and execute Barista skills, and equipment knowledge.
- Deliver quality customer service to all guests, maintaining company vision and mission at all times.
- Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or per customer specifications.
- Opening/Closing duties, assist in daily Inventory, proper cash handling, and working knowledge of the POS.
- Cross train in the gift shop.
- Flexible schedule required.
