MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Significant work experience in customer service or hospitality preferred.
- Experience with public speaking is a plus.
- Able to memorize and recite facts clearly and accurately.
- Fluent in English; bilingual a plus.
- Ability to pass basic DOT required physical.
- Ability to work outside for extended periods of time.
- Be willing to put your own spin on tour points, such as making audience-appropriate jokes and providing insightful commentary.
- Work with management to develop new tour routes based on the sites the visitors have expressed interest in.
SPECIAL SKILLS
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Basic computer skills, including email and word processing, use of a tablet.
- Outgoing personality.
- Punctual.
- Flexible schedule. Ability to work on weekends and holidays including tours lasting over 12 hours.
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS
- Must have or be able to attain a minimum of Class E Florida Driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy.
- Driving our customers throughout the day, familiarizing customers with the locality by vehicle, and ensuring that the group always remains safe. Expected driving time 30-40% of the time.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 40 pounds. Seeing up close, frequent sitting, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing and seeing up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth perception and the ability to adjust focus; extended periods of time walking or standing outdoors. WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed indoors and outdoors. Work performed indoors is in a professional office setting and in some locations with a wide variety of people in different functions, personalities, and abilities. Work performed outdoors may be in many different conditions include adverse conditions and inclement weather such as high humidity, heat, cold, high wind, rain, and various local conditions.
Exposure to sharp objects and possible exposure to some heat, loud noise, chemicals, lead and vibrations is possible. ONC strictly adheres to the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHA) regulations. Use of personal protective equipment, dependent on the task, may be required.
