Large Format Print Production Specialist

As a Large Format Printing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality large-scale prints, graphics, and signage. Your expertise in operating large format printers, understanding color management, and attention to detail will contribute to the success of our Fulfillment Team. This position ensures that all Large Format and Printing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and adhere to quality standards. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of complex operations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.

Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player who can work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and who is determined to make every customer order and project his or her absolute best. They must be a self started and have the ability to manage their own time, production line and order fulfillment effectively to meet and exceed goals. This candidate will be responsible for ordering and maintaining appropriate material inventory levels to meet or exceed production goals. Strong computer skills are required, including a working knowledge of applications such as Airtable and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain large format printers and equipment to fulfill customer orders and internal requests.
  • Prepare files for printing, ensuring correct color profiles, resolution, and layout.
  • Monitor print quality, troubleshoot issues, and adjust settings as needed.
  • Collaborate with product development and design to ensure accurate reproduction of visual materials.
  • Print customer orders to meet and exceed daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly goals.
  • Calibrate printers and maintain color consistency across different media.
  • Inspect finished orders for defects, alignment, and overall quality.
  • Address any issues promptly to meet SLA’s
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform routine maintenance on printers, including cleaning printheads and replacing consumables.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to printing equipment.
  • Support the Production and Fulfillment Team in other areas as needed, picking, packing, etc.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education; a degree or vocational training in graphic design, printing technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with large format printing equipment and software, including digital printers, plotters, and RIP software (such as ONYX, Caldera, or Fiery) preferred.
  • Knowledge of file formats (PDF, TIFF, EPS) and prepress workflows.
  • Familiarity with color management tools and techniques.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign preferred.
  • Ability to spot errors, ensure accurate color reproduction, and maintain consistency.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to troubleshoot printing issues, perform maintenance on printing equipment, and calibrate printers for optimal performance.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross functional partners and customers on occasion.
  • The Large Format Printing and Print Production Specialist should be physically capable of meeting the demands of the job. Be able to stand, walk, lift up to 60 lbs, and operate machinery.
