Medical Assistant needed for a two doctor Internal Medicine practice in Leon Valley ( Bandera and 410). Must have Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited school and have the ability to work with EMR. We are looking for someone who is energetic and can provide excellent patient care in a busy but pleasant work environment.

Job Summary:

Rooming patients and taking vital signs and enter into the EMR.

Update medications and patients information and enter into the EMR.

Administer injections

Performs EKG's, pulse ox, urinalysis, spirometries etc.

Do pre-certs for CT scans, MRI's and referrals ( we can train but must be willing to learn)

Answer and return patient phone calls.

Must be willing to cover at reception if needed ( vacations etc) -- includes answering phones in polite and efficient manner, verifying insurances on line, collecting copay's etc -- we will train for this but must be willing to learn and cover when asked.

Hours M-F, 8-5 ( no overtime, no weekends and no evenings required)

No travel between offices

Qualifications:

High school diploma

Graduated from an accredited medical assistant program

Prefer one year experience though recent graduates will definitely be considered

Computer literate and experience with EMR

Must be reliable and dependable.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour
