KASTO Germany opened a branch in the Pittsburgh area in 1979. The fluctuating economic development in the USA resulted in this site experiencing both highs and lows – and the "Steel Belt", the region around the city with its then booming steel industry became a "Rust Belt" in times of crisis. Since the end of the 2000s, however, Pittsburgh has been on the rise again, with numerous technology companies settling in and around the city.
The American KASTO Inc. with around 40 employees and an extensive spare parts warehouse is also the contact for KASTO users in Canada. In 2018, the company inaugurated a new showroom with a Technology Centre in Chicago. Among other things, customers can see machines and digital solutions in advance there and carry out test cuts.
Tasks

• Commissioning support in-house and partly also at the customer's site
• Project planning for customer projects
• Trouble shooting / second level support
• Conducting workshops with customers to determine requirements
• Developing software modules or modifying software modules for customer individual requirements

Requirements

• Educational background: Bachelor or Master of computer science, electrical engineering or automation engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in programming in programming language S7 / TIA
• Practical experience in the application of software design patterns
• Practical experience in the development and implementation of object-oriented architecture, especially with regard to the connection of processing machines. Conceptual thinking and systematic approach to problem solving
