Van Driver

Non-Exempt Status

Reports to: Center Director

Supervises: NA

Duties:

• Maintain daily log for pick-up of children (name of child, parent name and telephone and address)
• Assure children are safely secured in age-appropriate seating
• Follow hand washing procedures per NE Health Department
• Inspect Van thoroughly after reaching destination to assure vehicle is free of children
• Maintain Van maintenance Log/responsible for Van maintenance for preventative work
• Maintain First Aid Kit – assure in Van at all times
• Smoking is prohibited

Experience:

• Must have a valid NE Driver’s License and 25 years of age
• Must maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid

Skills Required:

• Maintain valid certificate for CPR and First Aid Training
• Receive and maintain a valid certificate of completion of the “Safe Kids NE” program within 90 days of employment and every five years thereafter.
• Good report with children and parents

Work Schedule:

• Work schedules varies per Center hours
• Attend staff meeting as scheduled

Other:

• Federal Mandate Requires National Criminal History Checks, for each employee
• Fingerprints Requirement for All Child Care Workers

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
