Purpose
A service coordinator manages the day to day service operations of a given area for industrial and commercial equipment repairs, regularly communicating with technicians, sub-contractors, customers, managers, and support staff. The position operates out of the national centralized call center and also handles inbound calls to the call center from customers. The ability to communicate effectively and resolve customer concerns is a necessity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Entering service calls into company service system
  • Assign and Dispatch service calls to field technicians and service partners within assigned area
  • Updating Customers with service agent’s ETA
  • Review and Submit Field Quotes 
  • Process Technician’s Parts Requests needed for job completion from internal warehouse or external vendor
  • Review information submitted from field technicians and/or service partners
  • Provide administrative support to field technicians with the repair of the equipment
  • Update 3rd party and Customer specific portals
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager
Supervision Received
This position reports directly to the Manager, Regional Service in Blackwood, NJ.
Minimal supervision is received. Incumbent participates in establishing organizational objectives and plans work to accomplish objectives. Independence of action is stressed, and review of work occurs through established organization management processes, as work product is utilized by others or based on results achieved.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Previous experience in service operation is critical
  • Previous experience with industrial and/or commercial equipment is beneficial
  • Customer service experience/background in a call center or similar environment
  • Ability to interact with and dispatch workload effectively to field/remote technicians
  • Must be able to communicate to all levels of customer base
  • Must be PC literate, knowledge of MS Word and Excel is a plus.
  • Must be able to multitask and manage time efficiently
EDUCATION
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in an interactive customer service environment is a plus
EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service environment.
  • Dispatching experience is a plus, as well as experience in a parts ordering environment. 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Basic pc skills including Outlook and Excel applications, excellent telephone and organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Must know enough English to communicate effectively with customers and document problems encountered or clarify when needed. 
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
  • Basic math skills.

  • Ability to make independent decisions
  • Able to handle unexpected changes
