JOB SUMMARY- QC LEAD

The Quality Control Team Lead leads the Quality Control Technicians team and analyzes production lines inspections and quality control procedures with regard to raw material, in-process material and finished good products to assure the quality control standards are achieved.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directs and supervises a team of Quality Control Leads and Technicians involved in inspection and quality control procedures regarding raw material, in-process material, and finished goods products to assure that quality control standards and specifications are followed.
  • In conjunction with the Quality Control Supervisor, conducts the performance management of employees.
  • ·Assign work areas of Quality Control Technicians.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow Karat by Lollicup’s product specifications, testing requirements and protocols to meet customer requirements.
  • Record inspections and coordinate their daily activities to ensure production standards are followed and met, including GMP & PPE standards.
  • Follow Quality Control Standards, Operating Procedures, Documentation of Non-Conformances, QC Hold Protocol, COC Protocol.
  • Analyze facts or circumstances surrounding root cause of non-conformance or individual problems to determine what action should be taken within the limits of standard practices.
  • Responsible for compilation and maintenance of inspection reports and records.
  • Investigates and determines cause of faulty work and consult and advise production supervisors as to corrective measures.
  • Defines quality measures with QC Technicians.
  • Understands, evaluates, and executes tests and procedures properly and investigates rejects or product modifications.
  • Performs testing and measuring calculations for each product, tabulating the data and reporting on QC reports.
  • Monitors and reports to QC Supervisor all GMP issues.
  • Work in conjunction with QC Supervisor to create procedures, standards, and equipment to facilitate work and maintain product quality.
  • Advise production department on product information, usage, sort levels (QC Rework).
  • Collecting and analyzing performance charts and data against defined parameters.
  • Use measurement tools to ensure product specifications are followed.
  • Implement and maintain quality processes.
  • Responsible for the training of new QC Technicians.
  • Maintain housekeeping in QC area.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Computer proficiency (word processing, spreadsheet) with the ability to create forms, reports, and tables.
  • Ability to work independently at multiple tasks and allocate time efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain close attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, statistics, and their applications.
  • Must be able to understand digital micrometer, calipers, PI tapes, digital thermometers, measuring tapes (MM), digital scale, and digital height gauge.
  • Knowledge of GMP, PPE, and CCP.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate degree in Business or Quality Management preferred Experience
  • At least 3 years of quality control technical experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in quality control in a manufacturing environment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Certified a plus.
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Certified a plus.
  • Good time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to work in a warehouse environment where temperature is affected by weather conditions.
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.00 per week
