KBA Operating Printing Press Assistant

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Prepare and set up the KBA printing press for production runs.
• Load and unload paper and ink as needed for each job.
• Monitor press performance to ensure quality and consistency in printed materials.
• Make adjustments to the press settings as required to maintain optimal print quality.
• Troubleshoot and address minor mechanical issues promptly.
• Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that printed materials meet the established standards.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to address any deviations from specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on the printing press to ensure its smooth operation.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Coordinate with the production team to prioritize and schedule printing jobs.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job progress and any issues that may arise.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Participate in safety training programs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or apprenticeship is a plus.
• Proven experience in operating and maintaining printing presses, with a focus on KBA equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality printed materials.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs.

Schedule: Day Shift Monday - Friday 6:00AM - 2:30 PM

COMPENSATION:

Up to $18.00/hour DOE Health/Dental/Vision is available after passing a three-month probation period. 401(k) available after the first year.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
