Family Practice seeking part-time medical personnel with dual roles. Primary role as medical assistant with secondary role as receptionist / scheduler. Must be cheerful and outgoing with strong work ethic.
Clinical duties to include:

• Patient intake; vitals, importing, reconciling patient data in EMR
• Administering immunizations, injections
• Assist with minor procedures, ear lavage, suture removal, sterile procedure
• Perform in-house labs; Rapid strep, COVID/SARS/Influenza, u/a, hba1c, etc
• Prior authorizations of medication(s)
• Other standard medical assistant duties

Receptionist duties to include:

• Checking patients in and out using automated system/EMR (AthenaHealth & Qure4u)
• Answering phone and routing calls and messages - VOIP phone system
• Scheduling appointments
• Processing incoming documents / faxes
• Collecting payments and posting into computerized system
• Verifying insurance eligibility & updating insurance information in EMR system
• General office duties
