Summary:

Kapur is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Designer to join our team to provide electric design services for residential, commercial, and industrial communities within the WE Energies account. In this role, you will be responsible for creating site plans, maps, meter locations, and routes using MicroStation software. As a Designer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of gas and electric systems while collaborating with builders, communicating through email, phone, and onsite interactions.

Responsibilities:

· Utilize the software tool, MicroStation, to create accurate and detailed designs for gas and electric systems in residential, commercial, and industrial communities.

· Collaborate with builders to understand project requirements and effectively communicate design specifications and progress updates.

· Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless project execution.

· Create site plans, maps, meter locations, and routes that align with regulatory standards, industry best practices, and We Energies guidelines.

· Meet with WE Energy customers on construction sites to determine equipment and utility locations.

· Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and high-quality deliverables are produced.

· Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential design issues or improvements and propose appropriate solutions.

· Assist in the development and improvement of design processes, tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity.

· Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to gas and electric design services.

Requirements:

· A minimum of a high school diploma is required.

· Secondary education in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical is preferred.

· Driver license and reliable vehicle required.

· Willing to complete site visits and travel to office in inclement weather.

· Experience in gas and/or electric design services, preferably in the residential, commercial, or industrial sectors is a plus.

· Proficient using design software, specifically MicroStation, with a strong understanding of design principles and best practices.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with builders, stakeholders, and team members.

· Strong organizational skills and ability to handle a high workload, managing up to 20 projects concurrently.

· Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on producing accurate and error-free designs.

· Patient and adaptable approach to problem-solving, with the ability to navigate challenges and changes in project requirements.

· Self-motivated and proactive attitude, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting deadlines.

· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

· Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to gas and electric design services is a plus.

Training:

The selected candidate will undergo a comprehensive training program, which will span approximately three months. This training will cover the specific design processes, tools, and workflows utilized within the We Energies account, as well as the software applications and communication protocols.
