Position Description

SALARY/ PAY:Starting at$18.00 HOURLY (Wage determined by experience verified by references and upon completionof interview).

REPORTS TO: Laborer position reports to;Foreman,Project Manager, & Office Managers.

SUMMARY/ ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

(Laborer role,mainly but not limited to;)

Reports directly to JobForeman daily. Completes tasks assignedfor excavation and construction of underground utility sitework, often workingin trenches. Effectively completes alljobs assigned within designated time limit. Must maintain a clean and safe workarea. Identifies hazards associated with task assignments and asks questionswhen clarification is needed. Complies with all safety policies, practices andprocedures. Checks quality of pipe to ensure it is without defect.Additionally, Laborer must be able to lay out laterals, set up fordig, being aware of possible safety issues, be capable of grading for pipe aswell as attach laterals, fittings, valves and curb inlets and lay pipe intotrenches. Any other work as assigned by Foreman, Project Manager and/or OfficeManagers.

LABORER: requires no previous experience.

PHYSICAL/ ENVIRONMENTALDEMANDS

·Ability to liftat least 50 lbs. multiple times daily.

·Competency andawareness of surroundings to identify safety hazards.

·Constantstanding, bending, shoveling and other miscellaneous manual labor.

·Requires workingoutside in the elements with constant exposure to dirt, dust and otherparticles.

·Exposure to hotoutdoor temperatures for up to 10 hours a day, along with direct sunlight.

·Exposure to coldweather and snowy conditions in the winter months.

EXPECTATIONS

This is a FULL-TIME position.Shifts & hours vary depending on the season. Overtime is required and variesdepending on the demand of work. Attendance is an essential function of thisjob. Successful candidate must have transportation to the jobsites as thecompany does not provide transportation.
