The Nursing Staff Development Officer will provide complete training to new nursing staff and support to all nursing units from the standpoint of training, development and improvement. The NSDO will consult with the unit Managers on candidate selection, development of training materials, identification of underperformance and supplementary training as well as providing guidance to strong performers to help advance their careers in the organization. The NSDO will coordinate with area technical schools, universities and other organizations to help build relationships and promote healthcare careers.
Works closely with nursing unit Managers; reports to Chief Nursing Officer. This is a full-time position and will require good time management skills to accommodate working with staff in all shifts throughout the week.
