Position Summary & Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The position coordinates the Technology Grants and initiatives for KDADS. Has oversight of the grantee(s) organization’s services, all reporting, data collection and recommended changes to the grant. Works with grantee(s) to develop Technology supports training models for families to better manage and support family members with technology support needs. Works with KDADS program, quality and licensing staff to improve programs. Recommends changes to policies as needed. Collaborates with consumers, advocacy groups, families and providers to help shape policy. Attends webinars, conferences and meetings to gather information on best practices in training in behavior supports and crisis services.

Incumbent supports Director of HCBS Initiatives by coordinating and reporting on progress of grants to all necessary entities. This position requires exceptional time-management skills, communication, customer service and compassion for those served by a variety of HCBS waiver programs. Position requires ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given and standard accepted practices.

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Has oversight of the grantee(s) organization’s services, all reporting, data collection and changes to the grant. Works with grantee(s) to develop Technology training models for families to better manage and support family members with technology support needs. This position will also lend support to other FMAP initiatives.

This position will also lend support to other FMAP Initiatives. Works with KDADS program, quality and licensing staff to improve programs. Recommends changes to policies as needed. Collaborates with consumers, advocacy groups, families and providers to help shape policy. Attends webinars, conferences and meetings to gather information on best practices in training in behavior supports and crisis services.

Reports/collaborates with Director of HCBS Special Initiatives to monitor and report progress on grants as well as makes recommendations on improvements/changes needed to LTSS and FMAP initiatives

Completes special projects and performs other duties as assigned including but not limited to ensuring the agency is adequately staffed during and immediately following natural and/or manmade disasters, infectious disease outbreaks, and/or acts of terrorism. Assists other employees in the work unit in accomplishing assignments as necessary.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Work experience in Medicaid or other complex service system.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of HCBS services system.
  • Project or grants management and training experience
