Kansas City Orthopedic Institute is the first and only hospital dedicated to orthopedics. We have state of the art facility for our patients and staff. We are seeking a Registered Nurse for InPatient Department.
We have a 2:1 nursing ratio that provides the optimal staffing ratio to ensure high quality individualized patient care. We are looking for nurses with 1 – 5 years-experience in an inpatient acute care setting. This position facilitates patient care, delegate, coordinate, and modify the plan of care as appropriate for the post op orthopaedic patient. Our Inpatient Unit nurses work 12 hour shifts. Must be licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Kansas or a compact license required. BLS required.
We are seeking Inpatient Registered Nurse to provide quality nursing care to post op orthopedic patients. This includes total patient care, dispensing of medications, preparing of patient meals, patient and family education, cleaning unit and patient rooms as necessary, and electronically documenting. Collaborate with the physicians to ensure patient care is at its highest level. Collaborate with physicians and physical therapists to ensure patient is progressing toward goal of
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to project a professional, pleasant image while interacting with a variety of personalities and cultures. Must demonstrate tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions. Should have strong communication and customer service skills and respect for confidentiality. Must have the ability to plan, prioritize and complete tasks under stress with frequent interruptions. Ability to utilize basic office equipment, such as: Telephones, Calculators, Writing Utensils, Fax Machines, Copiers, Computers.
