Diesel Mechanic Maintenance Permanent-Full Time Manual Labor Kansas City, MO, US

  • Air Conditioned and Heated Garage

  • Full Time / $38.145 per hour (Not Flat Rate)
  • Earn up to an additional $3.75 per hour for ASE Certifications

Qualifications Required

  • Two years of experience in heavy duty diesel, automotive equipment or aviation/marine repair and maintenance as a journey level mechanic, with a background of actual heavy automotive work experience
  • OR have two years of college or vocational school in diesel mechanic or related field.
  • Ability to read prints and manufacturer's data sheets and make legible reports.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License or Permit with passenger and combination endorsement are required.

Duties

Perform all Diesel Mechanic duties assigned by supervisor inspecting, removing, repairing, replacing, testing, adjusting, diagnosing trouble, and determining serviceability of all units wiring, etc., on any combustion-propelled vehicles or any equipment used in maintenance and service of same, using special tools, instruments, and other machinery when required, and other related duties.

Schedule

Probation schedule is Monday through Friday, no holidays, and rotates shifts (44 days).
