KANKAKEE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT is Hiring a Client Services Representative Near Kankakee, IL

Client Service Representative-(Union Position) 8:30-4:30 M-F

15.00 per hour (Non-Negotiable)

35 HR WORK WEEK- NO NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS!

13 Paid Holidays!

Assesses client needs in relation to services and program qualifications.
Obtains necessary data and compiles appropriate forms.
Enters data into the computer system.
Answers incoming phone calls and identifies and renders appropriate services.
Schedules client appointments for services.
Performs duties as a receptionist for the health department.
Facilitates an orderly atmosphere of the waiting room.
Participates in clinics and programs sponsored by the health department.
Performs appropriate emergency response duties as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Personal Characteristics
Communicates effectively, orally, and in writing, with office and department personnel, clients, and community agencies.

Displays a KIND, caring attitude. Is professional, mature, and self-controlled. Maintains strict confidentiality of client and office information.

Displays organizational skills and ability to work flexibly and
independently.

Education and Training

High school diploma or equivalent with office experience/education. Knowledge and experience with computers required.

Ability to type, have a good understanding of computers and office equipment.

Job Requirements

Requires vision adequate to read and analyze written and printed documents.

Requires hearing and speech skills adequate to answer telephone calls and to communicate with clients and staff.

Requires manual dexterity to perform typing and other office tasks.

Requires the ability to follow verbal and written directions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
