Kangaroo Clubhouse is Hiring a Director of Child Care Center Near Nampa, ID

The Facility Director has the responsibility for managing the overall operation of the child care center including the recruitment and development of staff; management of and conformance to all policies and programs relative both to human resource management and academic curriculum; child safety, environmental and health/hygiene as required for accreditation, licensing as well as all other Kangaroo Clubhouse Policies.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining Great Relationships
  • Help all parties communicate to address any learning and behavioral issues
  • Respect and Professionalism when communicating with current parents, or prospective parents.
  • Site Management
  • Collaborates on identifying staffing needs, shortages/overages and reschedules staff accordingly
  • Plans and organizes monthly staff meetings in conjunction with Management Team
  • Oversee and ensure facility safety, including safety equipment and cleanliness
  • Upkeep and maintenance of indoor and outdoor center environments and supplies to ensure they meet best practices in health, safety and security standards
  • Collaborate with the recruitment and enrollment specialist to ensure enrollment is maintained at 95%.. Assist with marketing, and advertisements for your facility sending videos/pictures/reels to Regional Director for edits.
  • Process Management
  • Creates a team environment by supporting new ideas, seeking input and facilitating staff communication and conflict resolution
  • Collaborates with Management Team on content of and edits to the Employee Handbook, Parent Handbook, and Training Manuals
  • Maintain and implement Teaching Strategies curriculum program and ensure records and child portfolios are being updated by teachers
  • Collaborates on procedures to manage illness, accidents, and emergenci

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft word, excel, Google forms, Canva, Powerpoint or the basic computer skills to learn these programs
  • First Aid & CPR Certification
  • Boise City Child Care license
  • Criminal History Background Check
  • Must maintain Idaho Stars hours according to KC requirements

  • This position operates in a childcare facility. You will be required to be professional when interacting with staff, families, students and anyone you are communicating with while representing Kangaroo Clubhouse.
  • Physical Requirements
  • The ability to regularly travel using personal vehicles to work and home as well as when necessary to travel to other locations. Attend and help at any Kangaroo Clubhouse location(s) and/or attend work-related events is required; some out of state travel should be expected.
  • May occasionally work hours outside the typical 7-6pm Monday-Friday, including evenings and weekends to meet the position duties/responsibilities; training, conferences, etc.

  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, talk or hear, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

  • Ensure compliance and continue good standing with the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), County Health departments and other regulatory agencies.
  • Achieve and maintain the necessary requirements to comply with IdahoStars and other quality assurance programs as determined by the VP of operations or CEO. Including all applications, reports and portfolios

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
