Summary of Position

We are seeking a friendly, Employment Support Specialist/1:1 to provide support and supervision to one individual in an employment setting. This position will be responsible for direct observation and monitoring of behavior as it relates to health and safety. In addition, this position will work within a team environment to encourage appropriate interaction with co-workers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, face-to-face, and mail.
  • Uphold compliance and confidentiality of all staff and relevant agencies and sensitive information
  • Maintain functional knowledge and adhere to the organization’s operations, mission, vision, and values.
  • Promote and maintain professional relationships with clients, caregivers, staff, coordinators, and supervisors.
  • Complete record keeping and reporting responsibilities in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Monitor and correct unsafe working conditions and/or behaviors.
  • Offer assistance and support as needed to assist the client in learning the job
  • Advocate for clients’ needs to assist in safety and health
  • Maintain constant attention to the client to prevent behaviors
  • Must have reliable transportation

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Punctual with excellent attendance, reliable
  • Attention to detail
  • Compassion and Understanding
  • Must be able to stand on your feet/sit for 4 hours at a time. Must be agile and have a quick response time. Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or job coaching: Specifically Autism

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
