Overview

We are currently seeking a talented EHS Generalist to join our team at our facility located in Lapeer, MI. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience in a manufacturing environment, and an Associate’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Biology, Chemistry, or related/technical discipline.***This is a Salary Position***

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate leadership necessary to support the Health and Safety Department.
• Providing technical support to site workers regarding HSE regulations and KAMAX standards.
• Leading hazard assessment activities that include safety inspections, investigations, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
• Maintain and update site safety processes that affect hearing protection and PPE, the Emergency Response Plan, the ERT – Emergency Response Team, lock out/tag out, and regulatory training.
• Provide support to the ERT and Safety Committee.
• Train site personnel in health, safety, environmental, and security requirements during onboarding and continuous training initiatives.
• Assist with corrective actions from internal/external audits, inspections, and visits.
• Participate in site emergency planning, drills, and incident response.
• Support accident investigations and corrective actions.
• Help to coordinate and schedule training for departments.
• Complete hearing testing for employees.
• Input data as needed for required environmental and safety reports.

Qualifications
