Position Title: Human Resources/Payroll Generalist

Reportsto: VP ofHuman Resources

Location: Corporate Office 156CHamakua Drive Kailua HI 96734

Schedule: Full-Time Monday –Friday

 Salary: $40,000-$45,000

POSITION SUMMARY:

Thisposition is part of the HR/Payroll department. The HR/Payroll Generalist will be responsible forGeneral HR/Payroll functions within the department. This includes assisting the VP of HumanResources and the department with everything from new hire processing,training, payroll, employee benefits, worker’s comp, and TDI, etc. Additionally, the HR Payroll Generalist will also help with maintaining compliance withState and Federal laws and company policies.

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain healthy communication with field staff for accurate accountinformation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in the onboarding process and for allemployee inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with State and Federal labor laws and regulations.
  • Responsible for daily functions of the HR/PR department. Duties may include butnot limited to new hire processing, training, assisting current staff withphone, email or in-person inquiries.
  • Payroll – will be involved in the semi-monthly payroll processing for allstaff.
  • Creating new hire files, filing, organizing and maintaining all HR files,current and previous. Updating UltiPro payroll system.
  • Background checks and fingerprinting – will need to keep School Agefingerprinting system updated, make new hire staff fingerprint appointments,etc.

OTHERRESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be a team member of the HR/Payroll department and support the team asneeded.

EDUCATION,EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • College Education preferred but not required. Similar work experience is highly preferred.
  • Basic Human Resources knowledge required.
  • Excel and Word software experience required.
  • Exceptional customer service required.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
  • Payroll processing experience preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task is required.
  • Ambitious, goal oriented, self-starter preferred.
  • Professional with positive attitude and able to work with office peers ispreferred.

WORKSCHEDULE:

  • Monday – Friday, 8am – 5 pm at our Kailua Office.

PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
