Kalkomey is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer who we will be instrumental in aligning our platform engineering initiatives with Kalkomey’s product and growth strategies. Your expertise in infrastructure development, site relatability, and operational excellence will be pivotal in maintaining our culture of innovation, security, and cross-functional collaboration. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Align infrastructure developments with Kalkomey's growth strategies, focusing on modernization, consolidation and technical debt.
Implement and monitor DORA metrics to optimize software delivery and operational performance.
Ensure site stability and reliability for enhancing customer trust and satisfaction.
Drive operational excellence and foster a strong documentation culture.
Manage costs efficiently, with a focus on optimizing financial resources and resource allocation.
Maintain and enhance platform and code security, including implementing secure coding practices and infrastructure security measures.
Contribute to cloud-native app design principles and training, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree
5 years of experience in Platform Engineering or DevOps
Proficiency in cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes),
and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform)
Knowledge in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and database technologies (SQL/NoSQL)
Experience with cost management and efficient operational practices
Familiarity with secure coding practices and infrastructure security
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage stress effectively
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork.
