Kaleidoscope Coffee Company is Hiring a Barista Near Richmond, CA
We are people-oriented, hard working, multi-faceted, and not-to-be-put-in-a-box. Coffee makes people feel like superheroes; we get to be part of that!
We are looking for 1 person to work 3-4 shifts/week. Shifts vary in length from 5.5 - 8 hours. More shifts are available when there are time-off requests, and/or at the beginning of fall semester mid-August.
After training, you will be expected to provide friendly menu guidance, maintain a clean dining space, properly pour/craft coffee drinks, serve ice cream, and prep house recipes such as beet hummus and quinoa.
Kaleidoscope is open from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. daily. Must be available to work weekends.
Cover Letter is optional, but highly encouraged: you will really stand out!
Qualifications:
- You must be vaccinated against Covid-19. (Boosted encouraged, but not required.)
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).
- Must be 21 to pour beer and wine.
- Must drink coffee - tasting for quality is part of daily duties.
- Are you - passionate, driven, curious, clean? (coffee is a fun mix of science and art!)

- Do you have - attention to detail, positive demeanor, and an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment?
- Can you - be on your feet for multiple hours, maintain a clean work environment both behind the bar and in the public areas, keep your cool in potentially stressful/confrontational situations, communicate clearly and efficiently with customers and coworkers?

Due to Covid-19, we provide masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer, reduce indoor dining capacity, and keep windows open for maximum airflow. All employees must be vaccinated and must wear a mask during their shift.
