Summary: Responsible for serving food and beverage items to customers in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional and timely manner.

Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions
Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods
Check on members and guests periodically throughout their meals and attends to their requests.
Take food and beverage orders from the members on the order taking pads or on the handheld Point of sale (POS) system.
Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
A minimum of one year of previous service experience. Previous point of sale system experience preferred, but not required. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills and strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities. Highly responsible & reliable with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Is able to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team. Breakfast servers must have at least one year of experience serving at a breakfast restaurant or coffee shop.
Language Ability:
Ability to speak with customers throughout your shift.
Ability to speak loudly and clearly and maintain a positive tone.
Math Ability:
The server must ensure correct billing procedures. Ability to count change, add up bills or split them up between tables on their own as well as factor in gratuity for their tips and split their tips between other employees at the end of the shift.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have general knowledge of point of sale system.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
This position operates in a private club setting. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. Frequent hand washing is required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing and moving for an extended period. This position requires walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching. The position may require occasional carrying/lifting to 50 pounds, weighing up to 20 pounds, and pushing and pulling up to 75 pounds unassisted, frequently reaching overhead. Arm strength and coordination must be sufficient to carry plates of food, glasses, and bottles, and serve from large serving trays.

This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend and holidays work.
