- Ensures work areas are kept clean, neat, and well-organized.
- Keeps records of outgoing shipments.
- Prepares bills of lading.
- Works closely with Production Expediter on any shipment needs.
- Immediately collects all products to be shipped and transports to shipping area, once notified that products are available for pick up.
- Provides shipping paperwork to Compliance.
- Picks orders in the system to be shipped with the provided available products.
- Builds and wraps pallets for secure shipment with freight carrier.
- Ships orders by using FedEx, UPS, etc.
- Creates and prints labels for shipments, ensuring accuracy.
- Seals and tags packages, confirming accuracy of orders, and signing off on pick tickets.
- Ensures correct shipping information is attached.
- Complies with all safety regulations.
- Checks items to be shipped against pick tickets to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
- Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental control standards.
- Assists other departments with tasks and maintains cleanliness of warehouse during down time.
- Other job-related duties.
- Must be able to pass a background check and a drug screen.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 years work experience in a similar role.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Good computer skills
- Ability to be a team player.
- Ability to work well with a diverse range of people.
- Proficient with using tools required for this position.
- Proficient organizational skills.
- Ability to stand or walk for 4 hours at a time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
