Kalamazoo Christian School Association is Hiring a Preschool Classroom Aide Near Kalamazoo, MI
- Assist the classroom teacher in preparing and implementing daily activities.
- Engage with children throughout the day and implement appropriate guidance techniques in line with classroom expectations.
- Assist the teacher in managing the classroom to assure a safe, healthy and positive atmosphere for children
- Assist the classroom teacher in maintaining a clean and safe classroom environment.
- Observe and identify needs of classroom children without constant direction and supervision
- Physically interact with children outdoors and indoors in a safe and appropriate manner
- Develop a positive relationship with each child and promote the development of self-esteem and self-discipline.
- Participate in staff meetings, preschool activities, and staff development.
- Maintain current First Aid & CPR Certification
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must demonstrate experience and interest in working with young children, parents,
- Must demonstrate success in working as a member of a team.
- Must have effective and strong communication skills (orally and written).
- Be able to walk, run, squat or kneel, bend at the waist, sit on the floor, visually supervise children up close and across a classroom or playground space
- Proof of non-communicable or negative TB
- Criminal background clearance
- Legally able to accept employment in the United States
