Kaiser Transport, Inc is an open-deck Trucking Company located in Janesville, WI that specializes in hauling machinery, equipment and all other open-deck freight. Kaiser Transport, Inc is seeking a hard-charging, highly-motivated, experienced professional with exemplary people skills for the position of 2nd Shift Dispatcher. This position reports to the Lead Dispatcher and will perform the following:
Key Job Responsibilities:
Plan loads through efficient freight consolidation to maximize capacities
Dispatch and work with Drivers striving for Driver Retention
Provide the highest level of on-site support for our Driver Core
Coordinate with Yard Operations on the freight consolidation and loading process
Utilize strong analytical skills that exhibit flexibility in planning
Process inbound paperwork Process load information
Order, process, and communicate over-dimensional permits
Interdepartmental support
Key Job Qualifications:
Must be able to learn, understand, & retain information in the moment Must have very strong Leadership/People skills
The ability to be compassionate and understand Drivers' needs Previous experience in planning loads a plus (load building) Previous CDL Driving Experience is a plus Previous Military Experience is a plus
Must be able to mathematically preplan the correct placement of load on trailers
Must be able to build and communicate the most efficient trip plans to Drivers
Ability to communicate efficient plans that are clearly understood
Must be self-motivated, decisive, and detail-oriented, and display strong math skills
Must be able to multi-task and embrace constant change
Good computer skills and logistics software knowledge
Strong geographical knowledge of the Continental US and Canada
Must have a competitive drive and the commitment to meet deadlines
Comfortable in a fast-paced and open office environment
Must pass a post-offer physical assessment related to the requirements of the position
This position works a minimum of 50 hours per week, Monday to Friday with an occasional weekend schedule. This is a salaried, exempt, 2nd shift career opportunity located in Janesville, WI.
Pay structure of $55,000 - $65,000 annually including weekly discretionary performance pay.

Successful candidate must pass a 30, 60, and 90 day evaluation.
