This is a combined posting for a Medical Laboratory Technician and Medical Laboratory Scientist. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. The Medical Laboratory Technician performs a variety of medical laboratory tests to provide data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases, follows established standards and practices and performs related duties as assigned. Ages of Patients: Neonatal to geriatrics.

The Medical Laboratory Scientist performs a variety of medical laboratory tests and procedures to provide data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases, follows established standards and practices and performs related duties as assigned. Ages of Patients: Neonatal to geriatrics.

Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Salary Range: $27.95 - $41.20

Shift Details: Part Time, Night Shift, 70 hours every two weeks

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in chemical, physical or biological science from an accredited educational institution

• Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification

• National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology -OR- National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists -OR- National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts -OR- National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology -OR- National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology -OR- National Laboratory Tech - United States Government

• Completion of an internship as part of the Certification requirement

Preferred Qualifications:

• Medical Laboratory experience

Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)

Salary Range: $28.77 - $46.44

Shift Details: Part Time, Night Shift, 70 hours every two weeks

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science from an accredited educational institution or equivalent education/experience

• Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification

• National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology -OR- National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists -OR- National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts -OR- National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology -OR- National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology -OR- National Laboratory Tech - United States Government

• Minimum experience is received during the internship as part of the certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional experience in a medical laboratory
