Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our team. The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to effectively train and educate employees on safety protocols. Duties: - Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures - Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards - Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective actions - Provide training and education on safety topics, including CPR, first aid, and occupational health - Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, including EPA and EHS standards - Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, near misses, and corrective actions - Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving workplace safety - Assist in workers compensation claims management process - Conduct regular safety meetings to address concerns and provide updates on safety initiatives Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field preferred - Proven experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role - Strong knowledge of workers compensation laws and regulations - Familiarity with report writing and data analysis - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Skills: - Training development - Root cause analysis - Workers compensation law - CPR - Occupational health - Report writing - First aid - Workers compensation - EPA - EHS We offer competitive compensation packages and opportunities for professional growth within our organization.
